Goats for sale

Purebred dairy goats

Purebred dairy goats are descended from goats imported into Uganda from Europe and South Africa.  They are mainly Saanen, Toggenburg or a mixture of those breeds. But some may also have some British Alpine or Anglo-Nubian ancestry.  More detailed information is given on the Purebred Dairy page.

The Prices for goatlings of 8 to 9 months old and a minimum of 17 kg estimated weight* are given below.

50% crossbred goats

Goats with a local mother and a pure dairy father are known as 50% crosses.  If the mother and father are both 50%, the offspring are also reckoned as 50%. More information can be found on our 50% crosses page.

The Prices for goatlings of 8 to 9 months old and a minimum of 17 kg estimated weight* are given in the table on the right.

Kabulya Breeds

We believe that in the future, the Kabulya Smallholder Goat (KSG) will be a much better choice than a simple 50% cross. Similarly, the Kabulya Commercial Goat (KCG) will eventually displace the 75% crosses. These breeds are not available yet. But keep checking, because when they are, you will probably want to buy a KSG male to mate with your 50% dairy females, or a KCG male to mate with your 75% dairy females.

Or even better, consider joining our breeding programme, so you will be among the first to get the benefit of the new breeds.
